Sybil Press is proud to release: Sara Goodman's (Chicago) Deep Dream , a long form poem, which reads like a mystical vision of the fall of the empire of Geocities and the rise of the technocratic polis. Goodman sings of web 1.0 nostalgia, and the dromological urge and lust of the postinternet FOMO, and the tiring terrors of knowing too much, with flashes of flesh and blood.

Along with Sara we will be joined by Beatrice VS, a metal fabricator and performance artist based in Detroit. Originally from New York, she has trained extensively in butoh and house dance. She was a company member of the Vangeline Theater and has performed solo and in various collaborations across the US and in Europe. She is currently making work as part of interference//, a collaboration with multimedia artist Sara Goodman.
Sara Goodman is a poet and new media artist interested in the way hardware, software, and interfaces influence us as humans from the micro to the macro level. They are continually grappling with their own complex relationship to technology and have a daily practice of writing collaborative poetry with friends as well as artificial intelligence as a way to explore these relationships. They like setting up systems they can interface with that continually loop and deviate over time. Sara is the co-founder of the New Media collective S H R I N E and one half of AV Duos Interference//, ethereal_interface, and uuskhy + SIFI. In these duos their role is: curator, visualist, and Glitch poet. Sara aims to create a psychedelic experience for their audience. A space where color, texture, and landscape can help the mind relax and expand with easier access to extra dimensions.
